Cooking Class Schedule –  Winter 2018

 

This will be the last year I am teaching cooking classes in my kitchen.  It has been a joy to meet all of you and introduce you to new techniques and flavors.  I hope you will find a class that interests you and you can join me in my kitchen one more time. I will be posting more classes for the spring and then again in the fall.

 

Brighten it Up with Citrus

Tuesday, February 6           6 pm – $50 – waiting list only

This class will feature ideas on brightening up your winter meals by using the bountiful array of citrus available during peak season.  Dishes will include Lemon Pasta, Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Citrus, Blood Orange Chicken  and Salmon with Citrus.  Dessert will be my famous Clementine Cake.

 

What’s for Dinner

Thursday, February 15         10 am   – $50 –   4 spots available

Planning meals for the week can be challenging – this class will give you some tips and tricks plus weeknight meal ideas.  Recipes will feature those that are either healthy, time saving, or 5 ingredients or fewer.   A demonstration of the instant pot will also be included.

 

Pig-Out

Looking for new ideas for pork tenderloin?  Or how about amazing baby back ribs?  Or Italy’s famous pork loin cooked in milk?   This class will have it all.  And just because… a bacon dessert.

 

Under the Sea

Tuesday, March 20               6 pm – $50   5 spots available

Thursday, March 22             10 am – $50  8 spots available

Do you walk by the fish counter at HEB and wonder about the octopus, squid scallops, mussels, and clams?  They are all delicious, and easy to cook!  There are some tricks, however, and we will cover them all and have a great seafood feast.  

 

 

 

 

Registration Info

Classes are priced individually. Each class is limited to 12 participants (unless otherwise noted). Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a space, please call (979-324-6042) or email (pchefdiane@aol.com) for availability and then mail payment to Diane Lestina (at 819 Pine Valley Drive, College Station 77845) with your name, address, phone number and the names of the class/classes you would like to take. You may also  pay using PayPal. To do so – please email me with the class topics and dates you are registering for and click the PayPal Button and enter the amount for the number of classes you are registering for.




Classes may be cancelled if there are fewer than 8 participants. Please note you are not registered until I have received payment.

If you need to cancel, the sooner the better, but you must cancel at least 3 days before the class to receive a refund or credit towards another class. You are welcome to send a friend in your place if you are unable to cancel in time.
