Cooking Class Schedule –  Fall 2017

 

 

Everynight Cooking – One Pot Dinners

 Tuesday, September 26     6 pm – $50

Thursday, September 28                10 am – $50

Now that school and schedules are back in full swing, we need delicious meals – quick!   If you are looking for meals that are easy to prepare and full of flavor, and have the added bonus of easy clean-up, this class will help you solve your ” what’s for dinner” problem.   We will be making Hobo Beef Packets,  Salmon and Vegetables, Herbed Chicken with Zucchini Pancakes, and Pork Souvlaki.

Hummus

Thursday, October 5                      12-1   – $25

Lunch and Learn – This demonstration class is an hour long and will focus on making homemade hummus, using both canned and dried beans.  You will love the fresher flavor of homemade hummus made with ingredients you can keep in your pantry and fridge. You will be served a light lunch.

Fall Flavors

Tuesday, October 10           6 pm – $50

Thursday, October 12         10 am   – $50

As the temperature drops and the pumpkins start appearing, you know its fall and time to take advantage of the fall harvest.   Apples, pears, butternut squash and swiss chard with play a key role in the dishes we prepare in this class.

 

Meatballs!

 Tuesday,  October 24                      6pm – $50

Thursday, Octoboer 26                  10 am – $50

Meatballs are kid-friendly, a crowd pleaser and versatile.  In this class, we will not only make a wonderful spaghetti and meatball dish, but Mexican pork meatballs, buffalo chicken meatballs, “meatless”  meatballs and more.

Vinaigrettes

Thursday, Nov 2                 12-1   – $25

Lunch and Learn – This demonstration class is an hour long and will focus on making a great vinaigrette as well as variations. You will also learn some other uses for vinaigrette beyond salad dressing.

Mushroom Madness

Tuesday,  November 14                  6 pm   – $50

Thursday, November 16                 10 am   -$50

This class will focus on the wonderful earthy flavors of mushrooms.   We will use both dried and fresh mushrooms and explore their uses in Italian and Asian cuisines.

 

 

Registration Info

Classes are priced individually. Each class is limited to 12 participants (unless otherwise noted). Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis. To reserve a space, please call (979-324-6042) or email (pchefdiane@aol.com) for availability and then mail payment to Diane Lestina (at 819 Pine Valley Drive, College Station 77845) with your name, address, phone number and the names of the class/classes you would like to take. You may also  pay using PayPal. To do so – please email me with the class topics and dates you are registering for and click the PayPal Button and enter the amount for the number of classes you are registering for.




Classes may be cancelled if there are fewer than 8 participants. Please note you are not registered until I have received payment.

If you need to cancel, the sooner the better, but you must cancel at least 3 days before the class to receive a refund or credit towards another class. You are welcome to send a friend in your place if you are unable to cancel in time.
